Last year's expedition ‘Cycling through Iceland’ went to the travel finals of the Travelery competition. Thanks to the recognition of the National Geographic magazine editors, the disabled Darek Sobczak project is one of the three most interesting travel events of last year in the 'Social Initiative' category. The organizer of the expedition was Renault Pietrzak.

"We are proud that our project turned was appreciated, not only by the editors of NG, but also by thousands of Internet users who voted for it,” Mateusz Widuch, marketing manager Renault Pietrzak, commented

The protagonist of ‘Cycling through Iceland’ is Dariusz Sobczak – a disabled athlete who during last year's holidays for 10 days covered the route from the east to the west coast of Iceland.

The pro-social element of the expedition was collecting 500,000 km in the Endomondo application and thus obtaining from sponsors (Renault Pietrzak, OKAM and INSPIRE) PLN 50,000 for organizing holidays for children from the care and educational center WZRASTANIE in Katowice.
