Czech CzeZ gets three bids for a new unit at the nuclear power plant in Dukovany

Czech energy company CzeZ received three tender offers for the construction of a new unit of the nuclear power plant in Dukovany, the company announced. The offers were submitted by EDF from France, KHNP from South Korea, and Westinghouse from the USA. CzeZ will now analyze the bids and continue negotiations.
The new unit should be completed by 2036 and is considered the largest investment in modern Czech history. According to representatives of the government and CzeZ, the new reactor should cost around 160 billion crowns (6.5 billion euros).
The company plans to sign the contract for the construction of a new unit at the nuclear power plant in Dukovany in 2024.
