Demand for apartments increased more than in previous years
Poland’s rental market saw a sharp increase in demand in July, with about 59,500 apartments rented or withdrawn from the market, up more than 21% from June, according to Adradar. Around 55,000 new listings appeared, up 17%, causing total available supply to fall from about 84,000 to 79,500 units. Warsaw recorded the largest monthly drop in listings, down 8%, followed by Wrocław at 6%. Despite stronger demand, rents remain relatively stable.
Median rents rose 4% m/m in Warsaw and Poznań and 2% in Wrocław and Łódź, but stayed unchanged in Kraków and Gdańsk. In all major cities, rents remain at or below year-ago levels.
