The European Commission expects a further reduction of the VAT gap in Poland. Vanessa Mock, the EC spokeswoman, said on Thursday that in recent years Poland has significantly improved the collection of this tax.
“The VAT gap decreased significantly, especially in 2013-2017, decreasing by 13 percentage points. We expect 2018 data to say a further reduction of the gap, to 9.5 percent,” she pointed out.
In 2017, this gap contributed to 13.7 percent in Poland, according to the EC.
