The level of non-performing loans (NLPs) in the EU banking sector is further falling. Data published by the European Commission on Wednesday shows that in the third quarter of 2018 they amounted to 3.3 percent, or 1.2 percentage points less than a year earlier. However, it is much worse in Poland, where endangered loans amount to 6.5 percent of the entire volume of loans However, the level of NPLs in the entire EU is highest in Greece (43.5 percent), followed by Cyprus (21.8 percent), Portugal (11.3 percent) and Italy (9.5 percent).
