The Council of Ministers has adopted a draft law on special protection for gas fuel consumers in 2023 due to the gas market situation. The law aims to freeze gas prices for households at 2022 levels, as stated by the government in a Friday announcement.

Next year, a maximum price for gas fuels of around PLN 200/MWh will be introduced, and distribution tariffs will be frozen. The rigid tariff rule will apply to everyone, regardless of income threshold.
