GUS: in Q2, number of bankruptcies -5.2% y/y
In Q2 2024, the number of business bankruptcies was 92, a 5.2% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to GUS.
The decline was noted in industries such as manufacturing (20 vs. 30), transport and storage (4 vs. 7), accommodation and food services (3 vs. 5), and other sectors (3 vs. 10).
Conversely, bankruptcies increased in construction (13 vs. 9), trade and vehicle repair (26 vs. 18), and services (21 vs. 16). The number remained unchanged in information and communication (2 units).
