Heat wave changing needs of buyers in real estate market
As heatwaves become more frequent in Poland, resistance to overheating may increasingly affect the market value of homes and apartments. Buyers are paying more attention to features that keep interiors cool and reduce air-conditioning costs. Experts say the best apartments have windows facing two directions, allowing effective ventilation. South- and west-facing glazing can cause overheating unless protected by external blinds or other shading. For houses, buyers should look at tree shade, roof insulation, attic ventilation, and overall building design.
Experts stress that air conditioning alone is not enough; good insulation, passive cooling, and climate-conscious architecture are becoming essential.
