Impact'26 kicks off in Poznań
Poland's largest business and technology congress, Impact'26, opened on 13 May at the Poznań International Fair grounds, drawing nearly 650 speakers across 90-plus hours of programming spread over nine stages and 25 thematic tracks. Prime Minister Donald Tusk delivered the opening address, pledging continued economic momentum, while the day's high-profile roster included Nobel economics laureate Daron Acemoğlu, who spoke on the distributional consequences of artificial intelligence, and human-rights lawyer Amal Clooney on justice and global solidarity. The two-day event — widely regarded as Central and Eastern Europe's most influential gathering of its kind — also features IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and writer Olga Tokarczuk among its participants.
