ING Bank Śląski strengthens investment segment. Takes over Goldman Sachs TFI
Growing wealth among Poles is boosting demand for investment products, and ING plans to capitalize on this trend. The bank will take full control of Goldman Sachs TFI for PLN 396 million, strengthening its long-term strategy to expand in asset management and private banking. ING’s 2035 plan targets over 7.5 million clients, a 19% ROE, and doubling its investment market share from 6% to over 12%, including increasing investment clients from 334,000 to 1 million.
The bank aims for strong growth in mortgages, consumer lending, corporate banking, leasing, and factoring – without entering a price war with state banks. ING also plans extensive digital development and automation to support broad expansion across key business lines.
