ING Bank Śląski will introduce mortgages linked to the POLSTR one-month compounded benchmark on September 28, 2026. Borrowers can choose variable rates, calculated using the benchmark plus the bank’s margin, or rates fixed for an initial five years. After that period, customers can select another five-year fixed rate or switch to a variable rate linked to POLSTR. Variable-rate repayment schedules will be updated monthly to reflect benchmark changes, meaning installments may vary each month. The launch supports Poland’s transition from WIBOR to POLSTR, a risk-free-rate benchmark.

The national reform roadmap envisages banks offering POLSTR-based products from the beginning of 2027.
