Jakub Fast takes over for Revolut in Europe
Jakub Fast, a Polish banking executive, has joined Revolut as head of its European business after leading Chase in Europe. Previously, he worked on mBank’s failed international expansion project, Copernicus, which was cancelled by Commerzbank due to financial problems. At JPMorgan, Fast helped develop Chase’s European retail banking strategy, including expansion plans in Germany. Now he oversees Revolut’s largest market, Europe, where the fintech generates most of its revenue and serves around 55 million customers.
Revolut is rapidly evolving from a fintech into a major transactional bank, though its challenge remains turning users into primary banking customers, especially in conservative but wealthy Germany.
