Katarzyna Saganowska appointed Director of TMF Group's Global Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Division

At the beginning of June Katarzyna Saganowska assumed the position of director of the Global Customer Due Diligence Centre, a global department tasked with ensuring regulatory compliance in the area of combating and preventing money laundering and ultimately protecting the TMF Group's reputation. The team of more than 20 people managed by Pole will advise TMF experts located in 80 locations around the world.
The department headed by Katarzyna Saganowska is one of the key ones in the global structure of the firm. It reports directly to the management of TMF Group, which is a leading provider of business administration and compliance services to companies expanding internationally – either organically or through mergers and acquisitions – and to investment funds.
TMF Group's services are used by more than 60 percent of the Fortune Global 500 and FTSE 100 companies and nearly half of the world's 300 largest private equity firms. TMF Group's team focuses on assessing and mitigating money laundering and other financial crime risks to help protect TMF Group from sanctions (including financial penalties) for non-compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations in more than 80 jurisdictions around the world.
Katarzyna Saganowska works in the Warsaw office of the Polish branch of TMF Group, which employs over 500 experts in Warsaw and Katowice and is one of the largest TMF Group branches in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. She has been with TMF Group since September 2019 holding previously the role of Head of Compliance for EMEA.
Previously, she was with US real estate firm JLL from 2017 to 2019, where she was responsible for compliance processes in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Prior to joining JLL, she spent two years leading the compliance team at DSV, a global transportation and logistics company. Katarzyna Saganowska has also been a visiting lecturer at Kozminski University in Warsaw for four years.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw, project management studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, and Kozminski University, where she completed compliance management studies and Master of Law studies in international commercial law.
