Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of the new PepsiCo plant in Święte near Środa Śląska. The concern will invest over PLN 1 billion there.
"Many countries strive for the best investors. In fact, in all rankings, Poland is at the forefront of countries that are able to attract international investors with their advantages. I am glad that our American investors, including PepsiCo, have decided to make this largest investment in Poland," Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
The facility with an area of approximately seven football pitches will be built on a 30-hectare plot of land located in Święte near Środa Śląska within the Legnica Special Economic Zone (Dolnośląskie Voivodeship).
The new factory will supply snacks both to the Polish market and to export. The recipients will be consumers from over 20 countries, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
