As of February 2025, Łukasz Światowski has been appointed Global Risk Data Lead at ING Group and has joined the management team of ING Hubs Poland. In his new role, he oversees risk data management within ING’s global structures, ensuring data availability for critical risk programs, strengthening data competencies, improving data quality, and streamlining related processes. Additionally, he leads the Risk Hub team in Poland, focusing on risk management and modeling, while contributing to ING Hubs Poland’s competency center, which employs over 3,500 experts across IT, cybersecurity, financial crime prevention, compliance, and risk management.
Światowski has nearly 15 years of experience in risk management. He started his career at ING in 2011 as a market risk analyst at ING Bank Śląski in Katowice. In 2014, he moved to ING Group’s headquarters in Amsterdam as a quantitative research analyst and product owner. Upon returning to Poland, he joined ING Hubs Poland’s Risk Hub, holding various leadership positions. In 2023, he became Director of Model Development, a role he held until early 2024.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, he has contributed to sustainability and data security initiatives. He has also played an active role in mentoring young talent through programs like the Lion’s Den student hackathon and the Risk Modeling Congress.
Światowski now leads a global team of over 520 experts, with 450 based in Poland, and ING Hubs Poland is continuing to expand, with over 40 open positions available. His appointment underscores ING’s commitment to developing Polish leadership in global operations and strengthening risk management strategies.
