First impressions are becoming increasingly important in property sales, according to Marta Kaleta-Domaradzka from Oferteo.pl. Homes with well-maintained gardens, façades, and driveways sell on average 22 days faster than properties needing renovation. Experts say even small investments in a property’s exterior can significantly increase its value.
The growing popularity of “external home staging” reflects buyers’ focus on aesthetics, especially in online listings where photos strongly influence decisions. Neglected gardens, peeling paint, or damaged gates can discourage potential buyers before they even visit the property. Market data shows that professionally staged homes may sell up to 50% faster and achieve prices 10–15% higher. For a house worth PLN 800,000, simple repairs and exterior improvements can add tens of thousands of złoty to the final price.
Experts stress that home staging is not about hiding flaws but improving appearance through minor repairs, landscaping, and better presentation.
