Modern storage space to increase in Poland
The warehouse sector in Poland recorded another good quarter. In the period from June to September this year. over 830,000 sqm of modern warehouse space was rented, of which 56% were new lease agreements. 990,000 sqm were commissioned, while 1,850,000 sqm is under construction. The availability of space increased slightly to 6.2% and this trend should continue in the following quarters, according to the report prepared by AXI Immo experts.
The total supply of modern warehouse space in Poland at the end of September 2019 exceeded 17.5 million sqm. This is the result of commissioning nearly 2 million sqm since the beginning of the year, of which 990,000 sqm were investments completed in Q3 2019. This result is 56% higher compared to the same period last year. It is also worth noting that 60% of the space delivered to the market from June to the end of September this year is BTS investments.
