NBP: Poles invest up to PLN 38.6 bln in government bonds in ‘24

Polish households are increasingly interested in purchasing savings bonds, with sales more than doubling compared to the previous year. According to the Ministry of Finance and NBP, retail bond sales in the first half of 2024 amounted to over 38.6 billion PLN, significantly surpassing the same period in 2023. NBP noted that in May 2024, the proportion of bonds in household financial assets was the highest since 2000.
