The National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) announced the results of the "Path for Mazovia" competition. 56 projects were selected for co-financing for a total amount of almost PLN 500 million, the company said.
“Mazowieckie voivodship is an undeniable leader among Polish regions in terms of scientific development and innovation, which was proved by the" Path for Mazovia "competition. Entrepreneurs from the region submitted many future projects. Great interest in the competition is a clear sign that in family businesses, in particular from the SME sector there is enormous potential that, if properly stimulated, will bring tangible benefits to the Polish economy,” Wojciech Maksymowicz, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, said.
Entrepreneurs will be able to spend on industrial research, development works, development of technology not yet commercialized, as well as obtaining the protection of industrial property rights and implementation of industrial property protection. As part of the competition, projects such as the development of an innovative online encryptor, a satellite system for laser detection of collision threats, and the development of a substitute for red blood cells will be implemented. The highest funding in the competition – PLN 51 million – was awarded to a project for the development of new generation propulsion technologies with hybrid components for narrow-body aircraft, submitted by General Electric Company Polska.
