Piotr Puchalski of BNP Paribas Bank Polska has been appointed CEO of Polski Standard Płatności (PSP), the operator of the Blik mobile payment system. He will take office on January 11, 2027, succeeding Dariusz Mazurkiewicz, who resigned in July after leading the company since 2017. Puchalski spent 16 years at mBank and served on PSP’s first supervisory board from 2015 to 2021. He emerged from a field of more than a dozen candidates, including former PKO BP CEO Zbigniew Jagiełło and two former Mastercard executives.

PSP is jointly owned by six Polish banks and Mastercard, with each shareholder holding an equal number of shares and votes.
