The Ministry of Finance announced plans to limit online currency exchange operations to licensed payment service providers. This move aims to address legal gaps in non-cash currency exchange regulations. Under the proposed changes, only entities maintaining payment accounts under the Payment Services Act (PAS) will be authorized to operate such services. These efforts, coordinated with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, include defining key terms and enhancing oversight. The adjustments aim to ensure secure and regulated cashless foreign exchange operations.
