Norwegians will invest PLN 200 mln in anti-drone systems in Pomerania
Norwegian defense company Kongsberg plans to invest more than PLN 200 mln in a factory in Pomerania to produce counter-drone systems. The facility will employ 100 people and become part of Kongsberg’s global manufacturing network, serving Poland and future customers in Europe. Poland’s Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Kongsberg CEO Eirik Lie announced the investment. Kongsberg, together with Polish company APS, is a key partner to Poland’s state defense group PGZ in developing the San counter-drone system.
In January, Kongsberg and PGZ signed a contract with the Armaments Agency to supply counter-unmanned aircraft systems to protect Poland against growing drone threats.
