Pandemic and economic crisis are the main topics of the changed MIT Sloan Management Review Polska Congress

In response to the coronavirus pandemic and the economic crisis, the ICAN Institute, the publisher of "MIT Sloan Management Review Polska," decided to change the formula for the 2nd Digital Leadership & Technology Congress. Transferring an event to the network is not the end of changes. Its creators decided to make the live broadcast available to all interested managers and people associated with business - for free. Congress is the beginning of a new series of tools to fight in a difficult and turbulent reality.

Pandemic and economic crisis are the main topics of the changed MIT Sloan Management Review Polska Congress

The ICAN Institute has been sharing knowledge from reliable and prestigious sources since 1996. Access to the best world materials and cooperation with famous and recognized experts resulted in a unique event in 2019 - MIT Sloan Management Review Polska Congress - Digital Leadership & Technology. The second edition was planned for April this year. The organizers intended to create a larger, two-day congress, combined with the fair and even more numerous thematic paths.

At the end of February it was decided to cancelling the event in the planned formula. News from Asia and the south of Europe about the speed and ease with which coronavirus is moving to other countries meant that care for everyone who was to appear at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Warsaw on April 21 and 22 won. Were the fears right? Now it is know that yes.  The 2nd MIT Sloan Management Review Polska - Digital Leadership & Technology was to attract over 800 people, including foreign exhibitors and famous personalities from around the world.

Online is just the beginning

The MIT SMRP Congress in the new formula is a response to the current socio-economic situation in the world. Its subject matter will oscillate around issues that should already bother - and bother - entrepreneurs. Many companies must immediately prepare for the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, the impending crisis and the economic slowdown. This means the need for greater digitization of processes, products, services and the very approach to work. That is why the congress will be made available online for free, and during the event a significant part of the speeches will be devoted to digital transformation in times of crisis. Witold Jankowski, Ph.D. and president of the ICAN Institute says:

The main message of the congress will be a way in which technology can support business in a period of slowdown. We will discuss many current topics, such as trust and the future of information in times of crisis or remote work. We want to continue to provide high-quality knowledge, which is the hallmark of the ICAN Institute, and introduce MIT SMRP recipients to world-renowned experts.

Although MIT Sloan Management Review Polska Digital Leadership & Technology Congress is moving to the virtual world, the number of lectures and substantive content will not change much. The theme of the congress, technology and its application in business are even more relevant during the crisis.

Ewa Majchrzak, Senior Marketing Product Manager at ICAN Institute, responsible for the preparation of the congress, underlines:

Every day we will invite participants to participate in two interactive thematic blocks, carried out between 10: 00-12: 30 and 14: 00-17: 00. The interactive studio will be led by the editor-in-chief of MIT SMRP Paweł Górecki, and its guests will be, among others, Aleksandra Przegalińska, researcher in the Harvard Labor and Worklife Program, or Sergei Ikovenko, Professor at MIT and Tufts University, an expert in the field of TRIZ methodology.

People who previously bought tickets for an event in the traditional formula have already received access to other ICAN Institute products in return. The company has recently finished contacting ticket holders to propose appropriate packages tailored to their needs.

Famous speakers on standby

The first day of the congress, April 21, will be devoted to digital transformation in times of crisis as well as industry 4.0 and innovation. During the second day, experts will focus on digital transformation models suitable for difficult times and the technological possibilities of supporting business in times of crisis.

In addition to the aforementioned speakers, during MIT Sloan Management Review Polska Digital Leadership & Technology Congress Online, there will also be performances by George Westerman of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who will talk about technological leadership in times of crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, or Hans van Grieken, whose lecture will be devoted to the most important technologies in times of slowdown and crisis. A detailed agenda will soon be available on the event's website: https://kongresonline.mitsmr.pl/
