Pekao has 200 cases regarding WIBOR, 800 regarding free loan sanctions

Bank Pekao is dealing with around 200 lawsuits challenging WIBOR and 800 cases related to free loan sanctions, according to Vice President Marcin Gadomski. The disputed amounts total PLN 50 million for WIBOR cases and PLN 20 million for free loan sanctions.
Despite these legal challenges, Pekao has won over 80% of cases. The bank is part of the PZU Group and has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) since 1998, included in the WIG20 index. As of the end of 2024, Pekao’s total assets stood at PLN 334.24 billion.
