PM Tusk goes to India with 80 Polish companies
Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled to visit India from October 21 to 23 with a Polish business delegation of about 60 to 80 companies. Forums in New Delhi and Bengaluru will cover seven sectors, including defense, agribusiness, medicine, mining, ICT, and space. More than 100 people have registered, and several memorandums of understanding are expected, including one between Pesa and India’s Jupiter Wagons. Polish firms are seeking export, investment, and technology partnerships in a market of 1.45 bln people.
The EU-India free-trade agreement, whose negotiations concluded in January, could expand market access but still needs approval. Opportunities include green ammonia, retail technology, manufacturing, and IT services. Success will depend on understanding local conditions and finding suitable partners.
