Poland at G20 table for first time
Poland is participating as a full member for the first time in a G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors, held in Asheville, North Carolina. Poland is represented by Finance Minister Andrzej Domański and National Bank of Poland President Adam Glapiński. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the two-day meeting will focus on economic growth, deregulation, trade imbalances, energy, artificial intelligence, and debt challenges.
Discussions are also expected to cover China’s industrial overcapacity and U.S. efforts to tighten Iran’s financial isolation. Domański was asked by the U.S. to lead a discussion on economic growth and present Poland’s economic success. Private-sector leaders, including JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, are also attending.
