Poland holds 648 tons of gold reserves, 10th in the world
Poland holds about 648 metric tons of gold, ranking tenth worldwide, according to October data from the IMF and Bloomberg. It recently moved ahead of the Netherlands, which holds 612 tons. From mid-2018 through June 2026, Poland’s central bank bought 530 tons. The country’s gold reserves are valued at about PLN 345 bln.
The United States leads with 8,134 tons, followed by Germany, Italy, and France. National Bank of Poland President Adam Glapiński says the bank plans to keep buying gold, with a target of 700 tons.
