Europe is strengthening its defenses to reduce dependence on the United States, British security expert Ian Bond told PAP, warning that American interceptor production cannot meet both U.S. and European needs. Poland has joined an anti-ballistic missile coalition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirming its participation. Formed in Paris in July, the coalition initially included Ukraine, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

Bond also warned that Europe’s limited response to Russian hybrid aggression could encourage further attacks, potentially causing substantial casualties. Despite slow progress, he expects European leaders to sustain efforts to strengthen the continent’s defense capabilities.
