Poland largest exporter of drones in Europe
Poland’s drone exports could exceed €1 bln this year, driven largely by demand from Ukraine’s military. Although Poland is the EU’s leading drone exporter, much of this reflects re-exports and logistics rather than a mature domestic industry. Many drones and components pass through Poland or are assembled there by Ukrainian-linked firms before being sent to the front. Around 97% of Polish drone exports go to Ukraine, mainly lightweight commercial drones.
Poland has only a handful of drone producers, with WB Electronics as the main player, while China’s DJI dominates the global market. Poland’s strongest opportunity lies in drone services, training, distribution, and secure military applications where NATO cannot rely on Chinese technology.
