Students of the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Military University of Technology won first place in the ‘EduHack 2021. International hackathon for the future of education’ competition. Their innovative UniNetwork application facilitates the creation of multidisciplinary inter-university teams.
The winning Code Hussar team, operating within the Cybernetic Interest Circle of the Military University of Technology, consists of Patryk Ostrowski, Sebastian Szczepański, Piotr Filochowski, Jakub Krukowski, and Adam Pawełek. The scientific supervisor of the team is Col. Mariusz Chmielewski, deputy director of the National Cyber Security Center, research and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Military University of Technology.
The competition was organized by the Incubator of the University of Warsaw and took place on January 14-17, 2021. The task of the competition was to design an innovative application that would facilitate remote work and increase the efficiency and involvement of participants in the classes.
The MUT team presented the UniNetwork application that enables the creation of multidisciplinary inter-university teams.
"Thanks to the UniNetwork application, research clubs looking for people interested in their projects can find new people with specific skills. On the other hand, a student can find a dream project, thanks to which he will be able to become active and acquire new skills. A personalized user profile enables browsing the most relevant offers. the data is to display the possible matches in the best possible order due to the hidden preferences and activities of the programmer,” Patryk Ostrowski, a member of the winning team, explained.
