Poles start buying houses in summer
Poland’s single-family home market has become more active during the summer vacation season. In July, buyer inquiries were 80 percent higher than in June, while requests for notary services rose 37 percent, according to Oferteo. Experts say longer days, more free time, and better conditions for assessing plots, sunlight, access, and neighborhoods make summer attractive for viewings and purchases.
However, warm weather can conceal defects such as poor heating performance, dampness, window leaks, roof damage, or traffic noise. Experts therefore recommend a thorough technical and legal inspection. They also advise against delaying a purchase solely until fall, as attractive homes may sell quickly and there is little evidence of seasonal price declines. Prices remain broadly stable, with quarterly changes of about 1–3 percent.
