Polimex Mostostal launches business offensive in Ukraine
Polimex Mostostal is expanding its presence in Ukraine, where it has operated since 2004 through a steel structures plant. Its first major project will be the reconstruction of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Kyiv, damaged under Soviet rule, by fire, and by Russian bombing. Polimex will secure the site using its own funds, while PZU will help organize financing and insurance for the full reconstruction.
The company also signed agreements with Siemens and Valmet to develop energy facilities in Ukraine, initially smaller 5-10 MW projects, with larger plants planned later. Polimex also wants to build shelters in Poland and Ukraine and expand into nuclear energy and security.
