Polish VC supports company from Finland
Finnish company ICEYE, specializing in satellite imaging technology, raised $87 million. financing - mainly from the Warsaw venture capital OTB Ventures fund, also from the Californian VC fund True Ventures.
ICEYE's work is based on acquiring images from radar satellite data in small areas within a few hours, both day and night - for maritime transport, disaster management, insurance, finance, personal and property protection and intelligence.
According to the company, ICEYE is the first company in the world to successfully launch satellites equipped with Synthetic-Aperture Radar-SARs weighing less than 100 kg into orbit.
