Raben is switching to green energy
Raben Group warehouses and offices are going to be 100 percent green energy. This is the case under a seven-year contract that the company has just signed with PGE Obrót, a company belonging to the PGE Group. According to the agreement, photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 35 MWp will be built in Poland, dedicated to the logistics operator. The long-term contract will be valid from 2023 to the end of 2029.
“I am very happy that all our facilities will be 100 percent powered by green energy from photovoltaic farms. Thanks to this, we will reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to the implementation of our sustainable development strategy,” Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group, said.
“If we don't take care of our planet now, our children will have a problem. Therefore, we want to set trends on the market in the field of sustainable development, not only by having ecological trucks but also through all processes in our company, we want them to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Signing the contract with PGE is another step to actively support the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals as well as an opportunity for green investments in our country,” he stressed.
In the current 2021 and in 2022, Raben also has contracted energy from renewable sources, which significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
