Rental Market Institute: market operates on lack of information, unwritten rules, limited trust
Poland’s new Rental Market Institute aims to bring reliable data, standards and greater transparency to a sector still shaped by fragmented information and limited trust. Its second-quarter survey shows that landlords and tenants face different but related concerns. Nearly 78% of experts identify weak landlord protection as the market’s biggest barrier, while more than 83% point to high rents and fees affecting tenants. Regulatory uncertainty has also increased sharply, with mentions of unclear and unstable rules doubling to over 46% in one quarter.
The institute plans quarterly market reports, verified lease templates, good-practice standards and policy recommendations designed to reduce risk and improve security for both sides.
