We invite you to participate in the 12th Retail Banking Congress, the
largest discussion forum on the prospects, challenges and problems of retail
banking in Poland. The Congress will be held on November 20-21, 2019 at the
Warsaw Stock Exchange Centre.
The Congress will begin with the “Debate of Retail Banking Giants”, a panel
of CEOs of the seven largest banks in Poland and moderated by Marek Tejchman
from Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The discussion will focus on the most important
short- and medium-term challenges facing the banking sector in the context of
broadly understood responsibility on the part of banks as well as regulators
and clients.
Discussions during the Congress will also focus on such issues as the
impact of competition from GAFAA on banks, digitisation and platformisation of
retail banking, benefits of being open to non-bank products (value added
services), limiting the effects of fraud in the digital world, European
experience as well as national conditions and opportunities created by open
data economy. Together we will also tackle the topic of whether and how
companies from competitive and at the same time increasingly related sectors -
finance and technology - are prepared to "fight" for employees and
create attractive working conditions in Poland for them. In the closing session
of this year's Congress we will seek inspirations for the retail banking sector
from other industries.
We hope you will join us for the Congress debates. The atmosphere of the
Congress promotes an open and frank discussion as well offers many
opportunities for networking during breaks and luncheons.
