Rohlig SUUS Logistics sees opportunity in global trade turmoil

Global trade disruptions, including U.S. tariffs, the war in Ukraine, and Red Sea shipping issues, have caused deliveries from China to the U.S. to drop by 35–45%, according to Rohlig SUUS Logistics. This slowdown creates an opportunity for Poland to strengthen its position in logistics and attract foreign investment, especially in electronics and automotive sectors.
Nearshoring trends are drawing interest from Japanese and Korean firms. Polish exports to the U.S., like windows and building materials, are growing despite tariff chaos. Chinese companies are redirecting innovative goods to Europe, while Central Asia’s economic rise boosts trade flows and logistics activity. SUUS sees Poland playing a vital role in post-war Ukraine reconstruction and stresses the need to expand dry ports and container terminals.
