The number of detained participants in Wednesday's demonstrations in Russia against mobilization for war with Ukraine exceeded 600, OWD-Info reports.

At around 8.20 pm (7:20 pm in Poland) 630 people were known to be detained in 32 Russian cities, the organization writes. At least 192 people were detained in the capital alone and 232 in St Petersburg.

The organization published footage from St Petersburg that shows riot police cracking down on protesters with batons and trying to separate them. OWD-Info writes about the "brutal detentions".
