Sales of new apartments amounted to 4,500 in May
Developer apartment sales in Poland’s seven largest cities reached 4,500 units in May, up 12% m/m and 21% y/y, according to preliminary data from Otodom. Combined sales in April and May exceeded 8,300 units, compared with 6,200 a year earlier, marking a more than 30% increase and putting the second quarter on track to become one of the strongest in recent years. Supply and demand returned to balance in May, with developers launching nearly as many apartments as they sold.
Total inventory rose 1% m/m to nearly 60,000 units. Growing buyer interest was also reflected in more than 3,100 reservations during May. Analysts now expect 12,000–12,500 new units to be launched in Q2, significantly exceeding first-quarter supply levels.
