The popular Starbucks chain opened the largest café in the world in mid-November. It is located in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and covers over 3,200 sqm of space. As representatives of Starbucks emphasize, the opening of the new location is a tribute to the café industry and the culture of drinking and brewing coffee.
Starbucks announced plans to build the spectacular café, which is the chain’s first café of this size, in 2017. A café in Tokyo has a slightly smaller area. Visitors to the new place will not only be able to buy Starbucks’ flagship drinks but also visit the coffee roaster and hear how the drink is made. The café is also to serve as a tourist attraction.
The first Starbucks café was founded in 1971 in Seattle in the US. Currently, the chain has around 31,300 locations globally. In Poland, Starbucks has over 70 cafés, which are run by AmRest.
