PZU, Poland’s biggest and oldest insurance company, and Bank Pekao, the country's second-largest bank, will organize the Polish House at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Polish House will be inaugurated on January 21.

The firms state that the Polish House seeks to promote the economy of Poland and the Three Seas Initiative, besides highlighting the entrepreneurship and innovation of Polish companies.

Founded in 2016, the Three Seas Initiative, also known as the Baltic, Adriatic, Black Sea Initiative, is a forum of twelve states in the European Union, located in central and eastern Europe. The combined area connects the Adriatic Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Black Sea.

The WEF hosts an annual meeting at the end of January. The summit aims to bring together some 3,000 business leaders, international political leaders, economists, celebrities and journalists for up to five days to discuss global issues, across 500 public and private sessions.

This year’s edition – the 50th – runs from January 21-24.
