Talks underway between Poland and Ukraine on rebuilding efforts
Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, said he hopes the first reconstruction contracts with Polish companies will be signed in June at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk. Ukraine has submitted specific projects to the Polish government, and talks already cover dozens of initiatives across sectors, from small producers of doors and windows to major construction firms building roads and bridges. Bodnar stressed that all interested Polish companies can enter the Ukrainian market. He noted Poland could benefit directly from contracts, from logistics services, and by hosting foreign firms supporting reconstruction.
The Gdańsk conference is being organized by Poland’s Finance Ministry as preparations for Ukraine’s postwar rebuilding continue.
