From the beginning of July to the end of September 2022, the Polish warehouse market expanded by 1.2 million sqm. This is close to the volume of new supply recorded in previous quarters of this year. As a result, the stock in the warehouse real estate sector reached around 27 million sqm. At the same time – despite the increase in rents – we are seeing unabated tenant interest in this type of facilities, and "green" buildings are gaining in popularity.

"The first of the green solutions that tenants are currently asking about is photovoltaics. It is followed by heat recovery, chargers for electric cars (cars and vans) and water management. They are largely the real answer today to Europe's tightening EU decarbonization policy and a way to save," Maciej Chmielewski, Senior Partner, Head of Logistics and Industrial Space at Colliers, explained.
