Owned by Elon Musk company producing electric cars, Tesla, will build a new Gigafactory 4 facility in the Berlin area. The company will allocate over $4.4 billion for this purpose. The initial goal of the plant will be to produce 150,000 vehicles a year, the German daily Bild wrote.
Bild added that the company could receive up to €300 million in construction subsidies, which must still be approved by EU authorities. Initially, Gigafactory will employ around 3,000 people, and this number will gradually increase to approx. 7,000. The German newspaper did not reveal the sources of this information.
