The Left political alliance has introduced to the Sejm a bill to reduce working hours from 40 to 35 hours per week. The reduction in working hours would have a positive impact on workers' productivity levels and their health, Magdalena Biejat, the alliance's deputy leader told PAP. The Left will encourage other formations to support their idea.

"The bill would reduce working hours from 40 to 35 hours per week while maintaining the same wages, so it would involve, among other things, an increase in the hourly minimum wage," - Biejat said. "Under the terms of this bill, working hours should be reduced to 38 hours per week for the first two years, with a target of 35 in the third year," - she added.
