Over 500 people died last day in Polish hospitals due to COVID-19. The Ministry of Health decided to tighten the restrictions before the upcoming Christmas holidays. Among them are compulsory vaccinations, e.g. for medics and teachers.

The first pillar of these restrictions is the act allowing the employer to view the results of the employee test. According to an earlier draft, it was a covid certificate. The Minister of Health, Andrzej Niedzielski, declared that this bill was being discussed with the PiS club. Within a week, it is to be subject to the official legislative path.

The second element is compulsory vaccinations for selected employee groups. From March 1, an obligation for medics, teachers, and uniformed services.

The third pillar is the restrictions that have been in force since December 15. Limits of 30 percent of occupancy in restaurants, bars, and hotels are introduced. Discos and clubs will be closed. Increasing the limit will only be for the vaccinated persons verified by the entrepreneur.

Compulsory distance learning for students will be at least from December 20 to January 9. Nurseries and kindergartens remain open.
