Three quarters of Poles use cashless payments

According to the 2025 “Payment Preferences of Poles” report by Fiserv Polska (PolCard), 75% of Poles regularly use cashless payments, with digital methods becoming a daily norm across both urban and rural areas. Physical cards remain the most popular (71.5%), especially among seniors (89.5%) and rural residents (76.4%). Among young adults (18–29), BLIK rivals card use—chosen by 36.7% versus 38.6%.
Mobile payment tools like Google Pay (6.3%) and Apple Pay (5.5%) are also gaining traction. Modern payment terminals now support added functions, such as loyalty programs, cashbacks, tips, and ticket purchases. Notably, 68% of seniors now use digital payments. The trend reflects growing inclusivity, convenience, and permanent shifts in consumer behavior.
