TVP president Kurski dismissed from his post
The National Media Council dismissed Jacek Kurski from the position of TVP president and appointed Mateusz Matyszkowicz. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that the decision was made autonomously by the Council. PiS representative Radosław Fogiel wrote on Twitter that Kurski had "new tasks" ahead of him, and his resignation "does not mean a negative assessment of the work so far".
Political consultant Wiesław Gałązka expressed the opinion that Kurski is being prepared to be the head of the PiS election campaign because the party has serious problems in the face of the crisis.
Kurski served as the president of TVP from January 2016 with a short break in 2020, when Maciej Łopiński replaced him for several months. At that time, Kurski was an advisor to the TVP board.
