Relevant talks between the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and the Minister of Infrastructure and Development of Poland Andrzej Adamczyk took place on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

“In the context of the blocking of Ukrainian ports, Poland has become a strategically important partner of Ukraine in the export of Ukrainian agro-industrial products and transportation of necessary military and humanitarian aid from abroad. That is why it is of paramount importance for us to get rid of unnecessary bureaucracy and infrastructural barriers that reduce the speed and quality of logistics. We have already agreed to set up a joint venture to intensify rail transportation. So far, significant progress has been made in the liberalization of road transport, in particular, I am grateful to our Polish colleagues for revoking permits for haulers to transport fuel to Ukraine,” Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said.

The meeting of the two ministers was also attended by representatives of the Ukrainian and Polish railways, as well as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia.

As was reported in early May, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of Poland reached an agreement on the revocation of permits for all carriers engaged in international fuel transportation. Also in April, Ukraine and Poland agreed to increase the volume of rail transportation of Ukrainian exports to the EU and world markets through Europe.
