Ukrainians will not massively move to Germany from Poland - PUIG

The legal regulations, which will make it easier for non-EU citizens to work in Germany next year,  adopted last week by the German parliament, will not result in a massive departure of Ukrainian workers from Warsaw to Berlin, experts of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (PUIG) assessed. However, it is necessary to simplify the procedures in their employment, to make the Polish labor market competitive with Germany, it is noted.

Only employees with relevant qualifications recognized by the appointed office will be eligible for employment in Germany from 2020 - or in certain industries, in particular IT.

"Germans needs almost 1.5 million employees, but it will receive a maximum of 25,000 very well qualified migrants,"Paweł Kułaga, president of the Foreign Personnel Service, quoted in the press release, said.
